I'm Lori Gammon-Megginson, the founder and heart behind The Peaceful Paw. Originally from Charlotte, NC, I now call Murrells Inlet, SC, home, where Ilive with my wonderful husband, Keith, and our three beloved dogs: Daisy Mae,Blossom Belle, and Lily Louise.
The Peaceful Paw was born from a deep love for my special bulldog, Ike, who passed away in 2014 at the remarkable age of 14. Ike was a rescue who profoundly shaped my views on canine care, especially in his later years. As I explored holistic methods to improve Ike’s quality of life, I uncovered the harsh reality of harmful chemicals and toxins in mainstream pet products. This discovery led me on a journey to find safer, more natural alternatives for our furry friends.
Following Ike's passing, I immersed myself in studying animal aromatherapy,essential oils, and canine massage. With a background in pediatric nursing, I felt a calling to shift my career towards something that aligned with my growing passion for holistic pet care. I became certified in Animal Aromatherapy through the Ashi Holistic Center and earned my certification as a Pet Massage Practitioner from the Pet Massage Training and Research Institute.
What began with offering canine massage and acupressure has now evolved into a broader mission. Today, The Peaceful Paw also provides Pet Health Coaching and expertise in Canine Nutrition. My goal is to empower pet parents with the knowledge and tools they need to give their companions the best care possible.
My vision, as the owner of The Peaceful Paw, is to utilize my knowledge, experience and skills to empower you to be the best pet parent in the health and well being of your best friend. To act with integrity, professionalism and compassion toward each individual pet and their guardian. Foster ongoing coordination with my clients' other pet service providers to enhance total pet care, holistically and conventionally, when needed.
